Job Purpose
The Officer will be responsible for community mobilization and engagement for the Enabling Resilience to Climate Change Related Risks Project in Benue State. This position will be based in the respective target communities and requires regular interaction with community people, particularly women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerabilities in the community.

Qualification & Experience
- B.Sc. or HND degree or at least, national diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution
- 2 years’ experience in supporting NGOs in community mobilization for social development
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project team and Project Coordinator to conduct the related community need assessment
- Maintaining regular communication with community, particularly women, children, and persons with disabilities on community-based Enabling Resilience to Climate Change Related Risks
- Motivating and organizing community members, including persons with disabilities, on Enabling Resilience to Climate Change Related Risks initiatives and practice
- Working closely with the Project Coordinator for arranging, conducting and following-up training workshops and community meetings relevant to the project
- Assist the Enabling Resilience to Climate Change Related Risks team and the Project Coordinator for updated information on Community-based Enabling Resilience to Climate Change Related Risks progress from the community
- Follow-up and support the groups trained to act accordingly
- Provide support for preparing Community-based Enabling Resilience to Climate Change Related Risks Management Plans
- Establishing and maintaining linkages among groups in the community
- Support the Project Coordinator to generate qualitative and quantitative data to document milestones of project progress and submit to the Project Coordinator on monthly basis
- Assist the Project Coordinator to conduct regular monitoring and reporting
- Keep the Project Coordinator updated on the progress of the project and any issues that may arise during the course of the implementation that need Project Coordinator’s attention
- Update the Project Coordinator on any information related to security and follow security instructions of Elim CVTC strictly
- Any other task assigned by the Project Coordinator or project team
- On regular basis, collect LGA data of program activities, review and check to ensure that all information is correct and adequate
