Job Summary
TRANSSIL is recruiting focused and teachable young graduates for the position of quantitative and qualitative research interns.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpret data and analyse outcomes using statistical methods and provide ongoing report
  • Interpret data and analyse outcomes using qualitative methods and provide ongoing report
  • Obtain data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain data base and data system
  • Find, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in multifaceted data sets
  • Develop and implement database and data collection system, data analytical and other strategies that enhance statistical efficiency and quality
  • Ensure excellent and responsible service delivery to clients
  • Enhance the integrity of the company through technical and professional efficiency
  • Involve with projects for clients, including interpretation, instrument design, processing, verification analysis, development of recommendations and presentations of findings
  • Contributing to proposal and report writings

Qualifications and requirement

  • Interested candidate must be resident in Maiduguri, Borno state, non-residents need not apply
  • Interested candidate must be a graduate, preferably possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second-class honours (upper division) in Economics,
  • statistics, mathematics or any relevant discipline
  • Must have completed NYSC
  • Must have knowledge of statistics and have intermediate level proficiency using statistical packages for analysing data (SPSS, SAS, Excel, Stata etc….)
  • Must have intermediate level proficiency using qualitative tools for analysing data (Atlas.ti, Nvivo etc….)
  • Adapt to pressure, report writing and presentation of findings
  • Possess strong analytical skills with ability to collect, analyse, organise and disseminate significant volume of information
  • Have ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve set goals
  • Time management
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent reasoning abilities and sound judgements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • MUST be resident in Maiduguri
